The weather is tropical, with minimum temperatures ranging between 25 °C (77 °F) and 38 °C (100 °F).

 

RIVER SWELLING (High water): swelling occurs between the end of December and the end of June, reaching its highest level in March, April, May and the beginning of June.

 

(Low water): Ebb Tides begin in mid July and last until the beginning of December, reaching lowest water levels in July, August, September, October, and November.

In this period, beaches and sand banks are formed , turtles lay their eggs, fishing is widely practiced, and river people plant rice on the exposed beaches.

Weather! 

  • Camera, binoculars, personal flashlight, and an extra bottle of water.

  • The activities you might do: canoping, fishing, rainforest bird watching, walks, shopping crafts, visit to lakes. Some of them, demand high fisical activity, therefore, adapted clothes and accessories

  • Light baggage is recommended. You should include: light clothes, bathing suit, long pants, cotton shirts with long sleeves, plastic capes, rubber boots, hiking shoes or sneakers for excursions in the forest. Hats, sunglasses and sun block, are necessary for protection against the equatorial sun. Insect repellent, some medicines and others personal articles.

Fauna! 

The Amazon rainforest is unique by its innumerable species, among them, reptiles, amphibians, mammals, birds and insects; its tropical and humid climate and the different thermal floors that exists in the zone allows this variety, therefore the biodiversity and the atmosphere is exclusive of the region and the continent.

 

 

 

 

Great part of the territory is not inhabitable because the forests are dense disabling the coexistence for the humans, while that is favorable for the fauna. 28xciento of oxygen that it is consumed in the world, it comes from the Amazonian Forest, it is a virgin territory, that still stays rural and in which they inhabit several tribes who conserve their customs.
